Organised by: Mindfulness for Earth in partnership with Faith for Earth
The escalating humanitarian crisis that is unfolding in Europe, is creating significant negative impact on the ‘internal and external climate’ of all countries and its peoples.
To offer a silent prayer, meditation and reflection, whilst wishing peace and comfort to all those who are affected by this continued trauma, a joint meditation-prayer session with religious leaders from all faiths will be held on Wednesday, 16th of March at 2.00 pm to 5.00 pm Sri Lanka time (IST), at Nissarana Vanaya Monastery, Sri Lanka. This special meditation session will be held as an in-person and simultaneously an online session where international spiritual leaders will join.
The purpose of this session is to provide a space to discuss the interlinkages between how mindfulness can induce individuals and communities to adopt sustainable behaviours, specifically towards achieving United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDG 12).
